THE STORIES - THE BOOKS
THE SERIES - THE TRILOGIES
I chose to make the personal statement predominantly representative of my life as an author and writer. I had previously considered cultivating the life of a rock star; the landlord of a famous British music pub known as The Duchess of York; martial artist; skydiver; professional soldier; professional bodybuilder and powerlifter; and Hollywood actor and soon discovered this myriad of skills and collation of expertise may not be cut from the same cloth. It was also after I considered traveling the world as a therapist, land developer, real estate investor and public speaker might conflict with one another in some way and possibly may not allow me the inner stimulation and genuine fulfillment I sought. It was only after I closely examined my eighty-four page résumé that I finally made the full commitment to write - and had to hang on to the music. I was fifty years old. I have some stories to tell.
On this page you will find a collection of books where my stories are found. Most of what you initially see are collections of stories, or anthologies, where I am included with other fascinating and gifted writers. In the near future, you will also find the 11 novels within the Shadows of Obsession series and the trilogy known as the Mind of God. The Mind of God is written under the pseudonym of James King, who is the main character/protagonist in Shadows of Obsession. All of these novels are near completion and would be finished sooner if I would stop writing short stories for a brief period. They are currently in editing and will be released, if everything goes according to plan, one book per month over the course of a year.
You will also see an archive of books below where my stories have been published but are no longer available from the original publishers. However, I will be compiling a collection of short stories soon for release entitled, Scabrous Black Shards. This is the plan. . . always subject to amendment.
Thank you for your interest and thank you, so much, for reading!

A Spicy Apple Glaze
This story was inspired by my parents. They enjoyed using stories with monsters, evil beasts and ghosts to help keep their children from getting too far out of control. This story was based on the old legend of The Sacky Man. In this case, The Sacky Man is Santa. Can you think of a better man to carry the sack? It's a story about a world that no longer experiences gratitude. And because of this, the world - and Santa - are living a curse. "And the ungrateful shall give up their most precious..." This is a wonderful and tasty alternative to the traditional (howbeit heartwarming) Christmas cheer that we experience every year and is so thought-provoking, disruptive and humorous that it keeps me occupied throughout the whole year - this puppy is NOT just for Christmas! Take this to bed with you, lay back, and bring REAL emotional disturbance into your nightmares. I'll be waiting there for you with a sizzling hot plate of baby back ribs covered with a spicy, apple glaze. Cover art provided by Terry M. West.
Wake Up Little Susie
Wake Up Little Susie was inspired by my paternal grandmother, fondly known as Granny, who constantly kept me and my little sister, Shanni, scared out of our wits. It was based on an old legendary myth known as the Dead Man’s Supper. This story also addresses child abuse and the consequences that could and should follow these ignorant and careless choices adults too often make. Cover Art provided by Mariola Weiss and cover graphics and formatting provided by Peter Koevari.
Journals of Horror: Found Fiction
JOURNALS OF HORROR: FOUND FICTION is Pleasant Storm Entertainment’s first horror anthology. JOH is the first anthiology written entirely in epistolary form. On it's debut on Halloween 2014, Journals of Horror hit #1 in the Fiction Anthology Bestseller List in Australia! My story, 'Turn Me On, Dead Man', is included in this cutting-edge anthology. The found footage subgenre is possibly the biggest in the horror film market. In Journals of Horror: Found Fiction that style of storytelling has been translated to the page. The stories presented here are horrific journals discovered in a variety of hidden places. The most interesting part of this anthology is the numerous places where the stories have been found: journals, diaries, legal pads, cocktail napkins, fortune cookies, instruction manuals, food ingredients, post-it notes, grocery lists, chalkboards, translation books, crossword puzzles and more. JOURNALS OF HORROR can be found anywhere! These tales are straight forward accounts, warnings or secret messages hidden in text. This collection has been compiled and edited by Terry M. West. Found footage is a genre of film making, especially horror, in which all or a substantial part of a film is presented as discovered film or video recordings, often left behind by missing or dead protagonists.
Terry M. West and Pleasant Storm Entertainment, Inc. present a revolutionary approach to the horror fiction anthology. JOURNALS OF HORROR: Found Fiction is a collection of terror inspired by the mechanics of the found footage horror film. In JOURNALS OF HORROR, the stories presented are horrific encounters committed to paper, item or device and discovered later. Each tale is a case file that has been transcribed from some type of unearthed diary. These tales can be discovered anywhere.
This anthology is filled with some of the hottest talent in the horror fiction genre: P.D. Cacek, Todd Keisling, Glenn Rolfe, Robin Dover, DS Ullery, Essel Pratt, Michael Thomas-Knight, John Ledger, Paul D. Mark, Sonja Thomas, Paula Cappa, Stuart Keane, Darryl Dawson, Crystal Leflar, Lori R. Lopez, Michael Seese, Jeff O’Brien, Matt Hayward, Joseph Ramshaw, Michael McGlade, DJ Tyrer, Wesley Thomas, Regina West, Evan Purcell, Robert McGough, Erik Gustafson, Christopher Alan Broadstone and Robert Holt.
When Red Snow Melts
This horror themed Christmas Anthology is a wonderful tasty alternative to the traditional (howbeit heartwarming) Christmas cheer that we experience every year. With so many awesome and legendary authors absolutely brimming with mojo: the legendary Joe R. Lansdale, Terry M West & Regina West, D.S. Ullery, Matt Molgaard, Glenn Rolfe and Richard Barber and some are even giving praises to my offering in this anthology - A Spicy Apple Glaze by Robin Dover (which I humbly and wholeheartedly accept with the deepest of gratitude) I have found this to be a collection of stories that are so entertaining, thought-provoking, disruptive and humorous that it will keep even the most unenthusiastic reader occupied throughout the whole year - this puppy is NOT just for Christmas! Take this to bed with you, lay back, and bring REAL emotional disturbance into your next nightmare. I'll be waiting there for you with a sizzling hot plate of baby back ribs covered with a spicy, apple glaze, right in between John Paul Davies and David E. Greske.
Passages of Pain, Lyrics of Loss
This is a genuine tear-de-force driven primarily by Maestro Matt Molgaard. It is a collection of poetry - in its finest sense of the word - depicting a 360 degree study of pain, loss, misery, angst, grief, faith, fear, hope, relinquishment, and raw emotion. It is the genuine epitome of raw, open-wounded humanity, unashamedly exposed to the world.
To quote Matt Molgaard: “Darkness in the human heart. That’s what you’ll find – primarily – within the pages of “Passages of Pain, Lyrics of Loss”. And that’s exactly what frightens me. The idea that a sea of strangers might gain a little extra insight into who I am as an individual unnerves me.”
It is candid, deep and frightening in its scope. These are the things in life that drive us over the edge – that cause us to lose our minds – things that can cripple our souls and our spirits. It’s a real-life Diary of a Madman spread out across a multitude of writers that have given you a glimpse into the exquisite journey of rampant blood and tears. You will probably want to perform either a Banishing Ritual before and after reading this collection or, if you are so inclined, kneel in deep prayer. My offering is One Black Tear. There are many forms of torture here, some contain profound moments of true vindication, from many incredible and incredibly brave, bold writers to accent Matt Molgaard's Requiem Opus: Vitina Molgaard, Angelo Ancheta, Danny Melby, Eric W. Jepson, Morgan Griffith, John Paul Davies, Vincenzo Bilof, Matthew R. Davis, Pamela Acton-Ward, Colin Smith and Rachelle Gagne-Bronson. Dedicated to the misfits...

Fright Flashes - A Collection of Flash Fiction
This publication from New Voices in Fiction Magazine Publications in association with Turner Maxwell Books released in 2009, currently out of print, features my over the edge tale, Ass Baby. This story was inspired by two characters - Immanuel and Demmonuel - appearing first in one of my earliest novels, The Mind of God, which I eventually developed into a trilogy. It's a tale of ceremonial magick gone far awry due to a severe drug induced oversight made by Immanuel the Magician. Fright Flashes also features stories from David R. Hughes, Jennifer Cox, Lee Anderson, Ralph Davies, Sue Simmons, Eric S. Brown, Matt Spencer, Rhian Waller, Jennifer Ciota, Cindy Rosmus, and - once again - the infamouse Iron Dave aka David Byron aka Sean Killian aka Darren Oberhaus aka Brian Bradford aka George LaCroix aka Grant Dean aka Leland Gaines aka Dylan Cook aka Doc Byron aka Tobey King aka Jack Sawyer aka Leo Wolfe aka Jack Burnett aka Christian Loche aka Daniel Byron aka Doc Creeper aka Joe Hammond aka Kelli Kelso aka Kelli Ross and probably many others. Yes - oh, what a world - what a world...
